Welcome to Throwley Traditional Village Fete
Throwley's Traditional Village Fete is normally held on the first Saturday of June each year. Its purpose is to raise money for local good causes, bring together everyone in the parish of Throwley and provide funds to keep the fete running.
This Years Fete is on Saturday 6th June 2009 from 1pm until 5pm
Last Year
After an almost dry fete a total of £3500 was raised. £2000 was donated to St Michael & All Angels, our Grade 1 listed parish church, £900 to purchase a new bench for the green, with the rest being retained for next years fete and the labour for installing the bench.
This Year
The fete theme this year is 'The Circus' with a prize for the best costume. Raffle Prizes this year include a day trip for 2 on the Orient Express and cash prizes of £250 & £100. There will be a themed bar, Barbeque, tea tent, and lots of other stalls including a Bric-a-brac stall, tombola, bottle stall, plants, cake stall, book stall, the greasy pole, a children's tent with activities like face painting and a children's roundabout.
